Bedhead to school run in 3 steps Being ready for school on time can be a real stress for everyone but when your kids wake up looking like they have been dragged through a hedge backwards, the workload is doubled! What do they do overnight, parties while you are not looking??

Is untangling your childrens’ curly hair the bane of your life?
Add in the time constraints of a rushed morning, bed head and unco-operative children, it can soon turn into a nightmare!

Being ready for school on time can be a real stress for everyone but when your kids wake up looking like they have been dragged through a hedge backwards, the workload is doubled!
What do they do overnight, parties while you are not looking??

If you would like to know how to get tangle free curls without a battle then keep reading…

1.Embrace the curls!
They have curly hair, so you need the right products for those frizzy little tangles, oh, sorry, I mean glorious curls!
We can find those glorious curls for you, honest.
Your standard hair products are made for all types of hair therefore can’t have the specific ingredients needed for curls. Using an average hair product will only give you average results. [I’d say it won’t even give that. May want to rephrase that]
For me avoiding the chemicals in most adult products is also very important.
Choose a range of products that suit their needs and use them regularly.
The end result you want is tangle free, easy to manage hair.

2.Make it a game
So step one is done which should give them tangle free curls (yay!)
Unfortunately your kids still link hair brushing with pain, pulling and battles (less yay!)
However, on the plus side it can be made fun again.
Making it into a game can solve this issue and make it much more pleasant for you and them!
It needn’t take long and can actually work out quicker than the arguments!
A couple of  examples for you…
Play Hairdressers…
Make it exciting, give them a time slot, a magazine to read (might want to avoid the Dear Deidre section!) a special chair etc.
Really play it up, ask them about their holidays and have a giggle!

Play at being a movie/popstar…
Let them pick who they like and pretend you are getting them ready for their starring role or live show!
Again play it up with anything from funny questions to exaggerated accents etc.

3.Have three standard styles
We’ve all been there… you’ve got 5 minutes to do their hair and they declare they want the weird backwards plait thing that Elsa has!
Now, yes we’ve seen it sooo many times but do we know how to do it? No clue!
So to save any last minute You-Tubing and panics just get them to pick 3 hairstyles that they can choose from each day.
When you get bored of the three you can use it as a little bedtime bonding to search together and pick three new styles.

Now don’t get overwhelmed and think that this is adding 3 extra things to your to-do list when you already have so much.
Remember it’s all things you already do but just making them easier!
You already use products, wash, brush and style their hair, this way you just do them and get better results!
So when you’ve completed the 3 steps above and got to school on time then give yourself a big parental high five!
Plus a big piece of cake as a reward, right?
There’s always a reason for cake isn’t there?

Here’s our range of chemical free curly childrens range, why not have a look and take the first step to solving your curly issues once and for all?
